DataBackUp.org

I should know! It is really important to do data backup on a monthly basis or depending on how often you update your website. I have experienced being tricked by others and also by myself by accidentally deleting them all. I myself is one lazy individual to do it but thank God to my host that they are doing it for me but not as often as I can or should do but still thankful to them for doing all those stuff for me. So if you do not want to lose it all better do the back ps on a regular basis!

Back it Up!

Last last Sunday was the worst Sunday ever! It happened when I was distributing bandwidth on my cpanel when I accidentally deleted one of my website and sad to say that the latest post that my host had back up was 21 posts later. OMG! I have to cram up for the lost of my 21 posts that time to be able to provide my readers that thing I post but to bad I do not have any feeds on my mail and so I really lost them all. The moral of the story is try to always do back ups and what’s nice about today is you can upload it on a website because we already have an online data backup now! So I think there is no excuse now for the lost posts, so do it now!

Why Facebook wants your phone number??

Facebook wants your address and mobile phone number.

But it’s not sure exactly how to ask.

It’s a complicated digital courtship, particularly because Facebook doesn’t just want this data for itself — it wants to “share” this info with all of its friends, which in this case happens to be app developers (think FarmVille, Compare People and Where I’ve Been — all that non-Facebook stuff that pops up in your news feed).

That may sound confusing, but the debate over this Facebook phone-number-sharing — which caused Facebook to backtrack a bit from the request after bloggers and users expressed outrage this weekend — essentially comes down to two related questions:

Why does Facebook want your phone number and address?

Get involved in Blog Action Day 2010

Found this on my email, join and make a difference;

Hey Blog Action Day bloggers,

Since our announcement last week, more than 1600 bloggers from 100 countries have registered to participate in Blog Action Day 2010, focused on the issue of water. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can register here.

Many of you have asked us how you can get more involved. Here are three ways you can help make Blog Action Day 2010 a success, and be part of the effort to save the 3800 children who die each day from unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation facilities:

  • Embed an action widget: Together with US Fund for UNICEF, we’re helping to build a movement of people across the world calling on UN Secretary- General Ban Ki-moon to accelerate the UN’s work to supply clean, safe drinking water to the world’s poorest populations. You can help this movement by grabbing our interactive action widget and embedding it on your blog, empowering your readers to join the cause.
  • Raise funds for water: We’ve partnered with leading organizations to enable you to raise money to provide clean drinking water to those in need. Among these is charity: water, which allows you to create a fundraising page to raise money to build wells in Africa. You can also directly donate through Water.org, an organization co-founded by Matt Damon. Just $25 provides clean water for a lifetime for one person.
  • Spread the Word: We need your help to spread the word about Blog Action Day 2010 across the web. Take a moment to tell your friends to sign up via email, Facebook and Twitter. The more voices we have involved in the conversation, the greater our collective impact.

Blog Action Day 2010 is shaping up to be the biggest online day of action around water to date. But we need your help to make it even more successful. By registering your blog, embedding an action widget, fundraising for clean water and spreading the word, you’re helping shed light on an often over-looked, yet incredibly important issue.

We’ll keep you updated with any Blog Action Day developments as we get closer to the 15th, but in the meantime don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you for all your support,
Maria & the Blog Action Day team

I decided to spread the word so I posted it, so what’s your share?

I need a Job

Doing online jobs is as rare as my grandmothers bathing in a month, lolz! Unlike before I can expect a monthly income just by blogging but now, maybe because of my laziness and not enough reason to earn a lot in a month, because my husband has an income already yahooooo, maybe that is why I set aside blogging, seo and doing blah blah online. I wish my momentum would be as hungry as before to earn so that I can save for future needs or maybe I should start looking for a permanent jobs offline.
