Nokia’s Touch Screen Phone due on Oct. 2
Nokia will launch their first touch screen phone on October 2 under a code name “TUBE” on a media event that will be held in London. This is their phone to rival Apple’s iPhone in hope to get the same success and surpass the iPhone after being stacked to a traditional screen all this years.
Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and many other smaller handset producers have released their own touch screen phones for the last two years and now that the first handset by Google called Google’s Android platform will also have a touch screen feature.
“The phone is extremely important,” said Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi. “We have been waiting for the market leader to respond to Apple’s iPhone for a year and a half now. There is a lot of pressure on Nokia.”
