Cuba and Venezuela To Lay Undersea Internet Cable
A new undersea fiber optic cable is being laid across Cuba to Venezuela, it will help it provide a high speed Internet access to Cuban nation by 2010.
Wikileaks was published the documents that was signed back in 2006 by the Cuban officials and Venezuelans, describing their plans for the new undersea fiber optic cable that will link the two countries.
The proposed cable, which is being deployed by CVG Telecom, also known as Corporacion Venezolana de Guyana and ETC, means Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Cuba, will also distribute high speed Internet access to neighboring countries like Jamaica, Haiti, and Trinidad.
