Ancient Bible To Be Made Whole Online
The oldest and the only surviving copy of the New Testament. The 4th century version that had its Gospels and epistles that spread and traveled across the world is being made whole again by making it online.
British Library says the full text of the Codex Sinaiticus can be accessed online by next July. They’ll be doing some digital reconnecting its parts from Britain, Russia, Germany and a monastery in Egypt’s Sinai Desert.
On Thursday a preview of the Codex will be available on the web it also has some parts of the Old Testament, the Book of Psalms and the Gospel of Mark.
The entire Codex will be available for free by next July along with the translation, transcription and search functions of it on the Internet.
