With the popularity of Nintendo Wii and with the increase on it sales, Nintendo Wii game machine had made Hiroshi Yamauchi a former Nintendo chairman, the richest man in Japan with over $7.8 billion worth according to Forbes Magazine.

His net worth ballooned up to $3 billion in the past year surpassing the richest man last year Akira Mori.
