iTunes finally tops 1,000 movie rentals
The milestone comes about two months late, but for Apple TV owners—myself included—it’s a welcome development. Still, iTunes has a ways to go before it can catch up with the likes of Amazon Unbox and Vudu.
Macworld (by way of Ars Technica) recently reported that the iTunes video store finally passed the 1,000-rental mark—and as of Monday, I counted a total of 1,022 titles, including a total of 18 shorts and/or movies under an hour in length. Also, about 200 movies are available in HD (albeit only on Apple TV).
