maybe some apes were late for the evolution period so they remain monkeys instead of evolving to humans, lol!

This is indeed one of the most interesting and controversial theory. And you made an interesting point too, that if all human evolved from Apes, then there would not be any left. Probably there are some other factors that contribute to the evolution.

Hi Joanjoyce,

Charle Darwin was one of the foremost scientists of his time who advanced the theory of evolution. Essentially, that apes evolved into homo sapiens (man). It was a controversial theory at the time, although this has been disputed by more recent research and the Discovery Channel explanations of findings.

The theory holds true about the evolution of almost all species of plants and animals. His only drawback was the evolution of Man. He referred to a missing link, from apes to man, that he could not find to make a precise connection. Recent discoveries about a homo erectus lived almost 3million years ago are now referred to as the possible missing link Darwin was looking for. Darwins research only found species as old as 5,000 years if I'm not mistaken.

However, this is worth reading and a good scientific trip that would create a systematic way of thinking and viewing things for those who are interested to learn and be truly educated. :-) --Durano, done!
