Google to combat child porn
Google is now taking its step to help children and children’s advocates to combat child porn online.
Google announced last Monday via their blog that they had built a custom video and image search technology for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This institution will use this technology to help them identify and track down child pornography fast. They will use this technology to identify and sort files that contains images of child porn victims.
“Criminals are using cutting-edge technology to commit their crimes of child sexual exploitation, and in fighting to solve those crimes and keep children safe, we must do the same,” center CEO Ernie Allen said in a statement.
The news was released weeks after Google introduced a new kid proof site for parents and a YouTube video about Internet safety.
