Flickr Now Offers Video Streaming
Flickr has announced that they will not only offer photo sharing but they will also offer video Streaming to rival the dominant player the YouTube.
Flickr is Yahoo owned, announcement says that videos will be limited to 90 seconds or at 150 MB. It will appear as thumbnails next to the users upload photos.
Flickr visitors can access all the tools for videos that they can for photos such as users can add comments, captions, geotags, comments and privacy restrictions so that only family or friends or can view your file. You can also embed this to any site.
Flickr came up with this idea out of a growing number of Digital Camera and DSLRs offering video recording. But Flickr strongly states that upon offering video streaming, the company does not want to be the next YouTube but rather wants a more personal touch for family and friends to upload a short video.
People aren’t using YouTube to share their personal short-form video clips. Ninety seconds helps us define that rebroadcasting commercial content is not what this site is for. Neilson said a Flickr spokesperson.
The deal is, only pro subscriber can have the ability to upload videos and the site only supports MPEG, AVI and MOV formats.

Stumbled upon ur site sis as I signed in to my facebook account. Nice blog!
Lam mo sis, na dismaya ako jan sa flickr. Nagpaasa ba naman! I used to upload photos (tons of them) to Y! Photos, then they transferred the photos to flickr just to have them tell us after a few months that I can’t access my photos anymore because I did not upgrade to a paid account! Bummer! Now I lost all my uploaded pix from wayback 2005. Anyway, I still have most in my multiply account.
Congrats sis! Lupet mo tlagang blogger! Btw, I dropped my Entrecard from my blogspot site. God bless!

the pictures that i uploaded are still viewable on the pages where i uploaded it but yes, if you do not upgrade your flickr to pro you have to re upload the pics again to get the code. and only the last 200 pictures can be seen.
